International Exchange Students at Ursuline

Ursuline High School accepts international students as part of our community. Typically, international students are one-year exchange students, usually juniors or seniors. Many graduate from Ursuline and entered an American university.

We have had international students from Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, Paraguay, South Korea, Spain, and look forward to adding more countries to our list. Our international students stay with host families, attend classes, and have had a strong impact on our community. From sharing their culture, making new friends, or teaching groups about their country, our international students are vital members of the community.

Interested students should have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as be proficient in their English skills. Students also need to be very independent and self-sufficient with the maturity to spend a year away from home.

We strongly recommend that students apply in their own country through one of the international educational exchange organizations, such as DM Discoveries Private High School Program. These organizations screen the applicants for English proficiency, handle all of the application procedures directly with Ursuline High School, coordinate the host family selection, arrange for the one-year Visa to study in the USA, and oversee the travel arrangements to and from the USA.
