Yes. You can make a donation using a credit card either by calling the Office of Alumni and Advancement at (330) 744-4563, ext. 125 or by using our secure online giving system. Ursuline High School accepts Visa, Discover, MasterCard, and American Express.

Are cash gifts the only kind of gifts I can make to Ursuline High School?
Donors may also give gifts of stock, securities, and property. A donor may also remember Ursuline High School in their will.

How can a donor make a gift of stock?
If you wish to make a gift of securities, please contact the Office of Alumni and Advancement at (330) 744-4563, ext. 125. We can provide you with instructions for giving stock certificates and for transferring stock electronically. Gifts of stock can be advantageous because they often avoid long-term capital gains taxes.

Can a donor give trust and estate-type gifts to Ursuline High School?
Ursuline benefits best from immediate funding. Therefore, gifts of cash and securities are always welcome. If you are interested in donated a planned gift, please contact the Office of Alumni and Advancement at (330) 744-4563, ext. 125.

To what extent are gifts to Ursuline High School tax deductible?
Gifts to the Ursuline High School are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. The application of such laws varies with individual financial circumstances. Ways to Give

Adopt-A-Student – Matches charitable contributions from interested donors with the need-based situations of financially struggling Ursuline families. Federal law permits tax deductible contributions by persons other than parents or guardians of students at private schools for the purpose of tuition assistance.

Annual Auction
 

Annual Appeal – Provides unrestricted support to the Alumni Office. A gift to the Annual Appeal makes possible the printing and mailing of the Alumni Quarterly. By giving an annual appeal gift, the Alumni Office provides the personnel that helps with reunion planning, the annual auction, the alumni golf outing, and the Hall of Fame Dinner. The office fundraises for capital campaigns, endowed scholarships for students and other special events. These events strengthen our ties to each other and to Ursuline. Now more than ever the Alumni Office is vital to the continued success of Catholic education at Ursuline.

Capital Projects - A donation to a capital campaign allows Ursuline to finance building or campus expansion projects.

Endowed Scholarships - These Scholarships are part of the Ursuline High School Endowment and are governed by a Board of Trustees. These scholarships have been established in perpetuity by alumni and friends of Ursuline High School. The principal of the endowed scholarships has been invested and the interest that accrues annually may be used for scholarship purposes at the discretion of the Principal of Ursuline High School.

Gifts in Kind – Gifts of services, equipment or items that provide operational savings and meet specific needs

Matching Gifts – Many employers have programs that match charitable contributions of employees. Your gift could double or even triple.

Memorial Gifts – A gift in the name of a loved one is a meaningful way to pay tribute to a family member or friend.

Planned Gifts – Include Ursuline High School in your estate planning with a bequest

Reunion Gifts – Is your class celebrating a reunion? Give a gift on behalf of your class.

Stocks or Securities – The donor receives a tax deduction for the full market value.
